Colloidal Copper

Having worked with Colloidal Gold and Colloidal Silver, I was fascinated at the possibility of creating Colloidal Copper.

I had heard that when copper is lacking from our system, it can lead to sagging skin, loss of memory, and the ability to create mental connections.

Here’s what else I learned:

‘A 2011 study by Nathaniel C. Cady et al. at the University of Albany in New York found that copper nanoparticles were an effective antibacterial treatment on open wounds and burns with as little as ten minutes of exposure. Other studies have found that copper nanoparticles boost skin regeneration and promote faster healing.

It turns out that ‘Copper nanoparticles in colloidal copper have been shown to have antioxidant properties, helping to scavenge free radicals that can damage cells on a DNA level, opening up a dangerous path for cancer and cardiovascular disease.’

Additionally, ‘adults with Celiac disease or cystic fibrosis may also have a copper deficiency since those diseases prevent the proper absorption of nutrients through the digestive system.’

So, of course, I had to make some…

I liked the idea of spraying it topically on my face, so I included a small amount of food-grade glycerin, which would act as a humectant (very moisturizing), and some pure Rose essential oil.

I wear it under creams and serums all day (and night) and love the nourishing feeling it gives my skin!
