The Cardinal

It's Monday, May 17th. Happy Birthday, Cynthia!

It's a '9' day, numerologically (did you finish up any pending obligations? Reach closure in a relationship?); and a 'leaf' day, biodynamically.

Oh, these lovely leaves:

Asparagus, rhubarb, comfrey, nettles, lemon balm...everything is flourishing so beautifully!

I took a walk of admiration, before spending the rest of the morning working with a lovely client.

Fortunately, the weather cooperated and we spent several hours outside.

It feels powerful to engage in energy work in the garden. I feel the Elementals in support of us, as well as various other assistants and ancestors.

After she left, I worked on leveling the ground where the new telephone pole had been installed. I moved another two sleds full of rocks, raked dirt, and finally around 8:00pm got to grass seeding. Grass is a 'leaf' - I hope they all grow!

As I worked, I thought about the phrase:

'You reap what you sow.'

Do you recognize when you are sowing something that you might not want to reap?

I realize this is pretty important for me...

especially around judgments of others.

As if to confirm this idea, I glanced up to see a dead cardinal in the flower bed.

How did he come to his demise?

What was this message?

I took him down to the Garden Temple - and though I was prepared to bury him, I got a strong 'no.'

According to Stephen Farmer, cardinals are about compassion, loving attention, and receiving intuitive guidance...as well as making a 'fresh exploration of the religion you grew up in, with your eyes and heart wide open.'

Must be a reminder to sow compassion, loving attention, and keep my eyes and heart wide open.

Thank you, sweet bird. Rest in Peace.
